Digital Transformation & AI Strategy · Former Telecom CIO · PhD Researcher

Boardroom instinct.
Research rigour.

For three decades I built and transformed the technology behind national telecom operators — and the customer experiences millions of subscribers relied on. Today I advise leaders on AI and digital strategy, and research how machines can teach the way a great mentor does.

Enterprise & business architecture

Standing up the architecture practice and operating model that makes change repeatable — functions I have built from scratch for global operators.

In the lab

The research

My doctoral work in the CIRCLE Lab at Toronto Metropolitan University sits at the confluence of technology, ethics and education. It asks a deceptively simple question: can a machine teach the way a great mentor does — reading not just what a learner does, but how they feel?

  • Can software detect a learner’s emotional state from the way they work?
  • Should the next hint change when a student is frustrated rather than confident?
  • What does pedagogically sound, affect-aware adaptation actually look like in code?
  • How do we keep emotionally responsive systems honest, transparent and fair?

The Emotion-Modulated Programming model

A framework for tutoring systems that adapt their teaching to a learner’s affect in real time.

I continue to be fascinated by the confluence of technology, ethics and education.
